The Indian government has responded to US President Donald Trump, who is constantly targeting India. On Monday, Trump threatened to impose more taxes on India. In response, India responded at midnight.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said that such threats are unjustified and irrational. The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "The United States is still importing uranium hexafluoride for the nuclear industry, pedalium, fertilizers and chemicals for the electric vehicle industry with Russia." That's why I am preparing to impose additional taxes on India.

India is the largest buyer of Russian oil. After Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, European countries reduced trade. Since then, India has become an important market for Russia.

Stephen Miller, the deputy chief of the White House, said in an interview given to Fox News, "India's move to provide financial aid to Russia against Ukraine by purchasing oil is not acceptable." Trump's threat came a few days ago when he imposed 25 percent tax against India.

India's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed Trump's criticism and said that the US and European countries themselves are continuing to trade with Russia. Last year, the US did 3.5 billion dollars worth of trade with Russia despite strict sanctions.

Since the start of the conflict in Ukraine, the US and the European Union have been targeting India for buying oil from Russia, according to the ministry. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said, "Actually, India started importing oil from Russia because after the conflict, the traditional supply was diverted to Europe." At that time, America itself also encouraged India to strengthen the stability of oil in the market.

India replied that it is importing to provide cheap and stable energy for its consumers. "This is a compulsion of the global market situation. But those who are criticizing India, they themselves are doing business with Russia.

India has also warned that like any big economy, India can take all necessary steps to protect its national interests and economic security. Indian Foreign Minister Yase Jaishankar has said, 'We are living in complex and uncertain times. Our collective desire is to see a just and representative global order, not the hegemony of any country.'
