At least 19 people were killed when an F-7 jet of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. On Monday afternoon, a Bangladeshi army jet crashed in the Milestone Campus complex in the Diabari area of Dhaka.
According to the Bangladeshi media The Daily Star, at least 164 people were injured in the accident. According to local time, the plane took off at 1:06 p.m. and crashed at 1:30 a.m. The pilot of the plane, Flight Lieutenant Taukir Islam Sagar, also died in the accident.
According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) of the army, a ship crashed in the campus premises during the training. Most of the dead are students of the campus. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals. Professors of Milestone Cams reported that the plane crashed during the holidays.
After the shipwreck, the Bangladesh government announced national mourning on Tuesday. The government has said that the national flag will be flown at half-mast in all government, semi-government, autonomous institutes and educational institutions on Tuesday.
