Consulate General in New York active to increase American tourists in Nepal

To increase the number of American tourists in Nepal, the Consulate General of Nepal in New York has increased its activity.

The Consulate General has increased its activity by interacting with the American tourism professionals at various stages, discussing, discussing the tourist areas of Nepal and informing about the services that can be provided for the American tourists in Nepal. 

On Friday, the Consulate General of New York, in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), New York Chapter, discussed with American tourism companies. 

The Consul General Dadhiram Bhandari said that 9,696 Americans were among the tourists who entered Nepal in the month of June. Among the 76,425 foreign tourists who entered Nepal in the month of June, Indians were the first number followed by Americans. In one month, 32 thousand 662 Indian tourists visited Nepal while 9 thousand 696 Americans visited Nepal. 

Consul General Bhandari, during the presentation of the document in the interaction between the Consulate General and the American tourism company operating in New York, claimed that Nepal is an excellent destination for mountain viewing, climbing, art culture, natural beauty, historical heritage, jungle safari and spirituality. He also requested the American tourism company to provide packages with special discounts for tourists who want to visit Nepal.  Consulate General in New York active to increase American tourists in Nepal

The average stay of American tourists is longer and since American tourists spend 100 dollars a day compared to other countries, the embassy claims that it will affect Nepal's tourism business. Lok Bahadur Thapa, representative of the Nepali Permanent Mission to the United Nations, said that Nepal is a safe destination for tourists and they will be welcomed not only by opening the doors of the country but also by opening the doors of the Nepalese heart. 

New York-based tourism promoter Gokul Shrestha said that the interaction program conducted by the Nepali Embassy in New York with the American tourism businessmen for the promotion of tourism has had a very positive effect on increasing the number of American tourists in Nepal. He said that it is necessary for the Nepalese government to take into consideration the tourism plan advanced by the Consulate General. "We are active in increasing the number of American tourists in Nepal in the coming months," he said, "for that, the Nepalese government needs to take it seriously." In the program, Pacific Asia Travel Association, New York Chapter presented their experience and expressed their belief that they will do their best to promote Nepal's tourism. Nischal Baskota, the founder of Nepal Tea Collective, claimed that Nepal can be made the best destination for tea tourism and the eastern region of Nepal can be made another destination to increase the number of American tourists. 

He said that tourism businessmen will also promote in a new way if they can travel to new areas for Americans. "Tea Bagan itself is a tourist area, we should be able to promote it," he said, "In the coming days, I would like to request the tourism businessmen to take American tourists to the eastern region of Nepal."
