At least 7 people have died and 27 people have been injured in the last 24 hours in East Punjab of Pakistan due to floods and inundation after continuous rains.

Citing the Provincial Disaster Management Center, Pakistani media Dawn has mentioned that there have been 13 flood-related incidents across Punjab. 11 hundred 22  People have been rescued . 

Chinese media, Xinhua, citing the Pakistan Meteorological Department, has mentioned that this season will see 25 percent more rain than normal. 

Monsoon has entered most parts of Pakistan due to monsoonal winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
