Russia has decided not to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after the US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. The IAEA is a United Nations agency that monitors the nuclear programs of various countries.
Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian President's Office, informed the IAEA that Russia had decided not to cooperate from now on. "This decision is the result of an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities for no reason," he said.
Russia has been seen as an ally of Iran. Russia also condemned the attacks by Israel and the US on Iran. Spokesman Peskov has denied the suspicion that bilateral relations between the US and Russia may deteriorate after the attack on Iran.
Similarly, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. China's foreign ministry spokesperson Lin Chien posted on social network X and said, "An attack on Iran's nuclear facilities against the provisions of the IAEA is a serious violation of the UN Charter and international law." "The international community should oppose it," he said. The statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China also mentions that "China will support the steps taken by Iran for its sovereignty and security".
