Dozens of flights to and from Bali, a tourist destination in Indonesia, have been disrupted and canceled due to the volcanic eruption.
Mount Levotobi Laki-Laki on Flores Island erupted at 5:35 local time on Tuesday.
After the explosion, a plume of hot ash flew up to 11 km . The orange plume in the sky in the shape of an umbrella was seen from a village 150 km away.
The website of Densar International Airport says that the flight has been canceled due to the volcano. Apart from the capital Jakarta, flights from Australia, China, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore have also been affected due to the volcano.
The local authorities working on the disaster have relocated the residents of two nearby villages to a safe place after the volcanic eruption.
