As the conflict between Israel and Iran escalates, Indian students studying in Iran have started moving from the capital Tehran to other cities. According to CNN, some Indian students are going to Armenia, a country bordering Iran.

Students from India, especially from Jammu and Kashmir, are studying medicine in Iran. According to the Indian media Hindustan Times, there are 4,000 Indians in Iran. It is estimated that half of them are students.

Iran's airspace has been closed since Israel launched its attack last Friday. Therefore, foreign nationals who want to leave Iran are forced to travel long distances by land.

The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that the Indian Embassy in Tehran is constantly monitoring the security situation in Iran.
