Israel launched an aerial attack on Iran's nuclear processing facilities on Friday morning.

According to the Iranian state media, Hossein Salami, the head of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, and Fereydoun Abbasi, the former head of nuclear power, were killed in the attack. International media reported that after the attack, explosions were heard all over the country, including the capital Tehran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that the attack was a "strike at the heart of Iran's nuclear program".

The International Atomic Energy Agency recently warned Iran for violating the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty for the first time in 20 years. However, Iran has maintained that its program is for peaceful civilian purposes only.

According to the BBC, Tehran's airport has been closed and Israel has declared a state of emergency. America has made it clear that it is not involved in this attack.
