Russia has launched an aerial attack on the capital of Ukraine. At least two people were killed and four others were injured in an attack on a maternity hospital in the southern city of Odessa. The international media have mentioned that it was the biggest air attack since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war three years ago. Seven out of 10 districts of Kyiv have been affected by the Russian attack.

According to Reuters, this attack was in response to Ukraine's destruction of 41 Russian military aircraft in four airfields in the Arctic and Siberia. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed that Russia had attacked 315 drones and shot down 277 of them. The Russian attack is said to have lasted for about five hours.

President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attack as the latest major attack on Kiev and said, 'Russian missile and drone attacks have tried to disrupt peace efforts by other countries in the world, including the United States.'

Tuesday morning began with large explosions in Kiev. Reuters, quoting eyewitnesses, noted that the explosions in the sky were bright, but at the same time, thick smoke spread over the city.

Although Moscow and Kiev recently held two rounds of talks, there has been no significant progress in efforts to end the war. The latest talks in Istanbul, the Turkish capital, focused only on exchanging prisoners of war.
