India's Chief of Defense Staff, General Anil Chauhan, has responded to the issue of the downing of India's fighter jets during the military conflict with Pakistan.

General Chouhan said in an interview given to Bloomberg TV on Saturday, "The matter of downing the plane is not important, but why it happened is important." He rejected the claim that six planes were shot down by Pakistan.

He said, "I don't think the topic of jet downing is that important. But why it was dropped is important.' But he did not give any answer about the number of planes.

He admitted that the plane fell in a roundabout way. But they have not revealed how many planes fell and how much damage was done. Pakistan has been claiming to have shot down 6 warplanes during the conflict.
