US President Donald Trump's meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has become tense. Earlier, the meeting between South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and the US President did not turn out to be amicable, recalling the controversial meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensiy at the White House.

After the usual formalities proceeded smoothly  The conversation between the two leaders suddenly became unpleasant. During the conversation, Trump accused Ramaphosa of "white genocide" by saying that there is violence against white farmers in South Africa. During the

conversation, Trump said, 'We have thousands of stories about this.' After saying this, Trump asked the staff to turn off the lights and show the video. Trump showed clips of old videos. which  It has been claimed that more than a thousand white farmers' graves have been found and marked with a white cross. Trump then showed a pile of newspaper articles. In which, according to Trump, there was news about the killings in South Africa in the last few days. He read some of the headlines and said, 'Death, death, death, horrible death.'

US President Trump accused the South African President of genocide The international media, including the Guardian, have mentioned that Trump made false claims in the meeting. Reuters noted that the videos shown by Trump were made in September 2020 and that the white crosses seen in the videos are not actual graves.

While Trump was making such accusations, Ramaphosa was seen in a very calm posture . Although Trump appeared aggressive, Ramaphosa appeared calm. He tried to keep the meeting calm by saying 'let's talk about it calmly'. Ramaphosa said that there was no genocide in South Africa and that it was a matter of perspective, saying, 'Sometimes the size of a mountain depends on the angle of view.'

After Trump canceled essential aid to South Africa, offered asylum to white minority Africans, expelled the country's ambassador, Ramaphosa hoped to restore relations between the US and his country through this meeting. The US is South Africa's second largest trading partner  . But now it faces a 30 percent tariff under Trump's import tax plan.

After leaving the White House, Ramaphosa responded that the meeting was very good, saying that Trump had listened to him completely.
