Two Israeli embassy staffers were killed in a shooting outside the Jewish Museum in Washington

Two employees of the Israeli embassy have been shot dead outside a Jewish museum in Washington DC, USA.

According to the international news organization CBS, a man and a woman were killed in this incident. Both of them were shot as soon as they came out of an event held at the Capital Jewish Museum.  US security officials have said that the situation of the

attack was well-planned. This incident happened in a street around 9:50 pm local time. 

Many tourist spots, museums and government structures are in this area. It also houses the FBI's field office .  According to

reports, at the time of the incident, several employees of the Israeli embassy were participating in a program held at the museum. This incident happened amid Israel's ongoing operations in Gaza.

United States Secretary of Internal Security Christie Noem said that this incident happened in front of the Jewish Museum. The Israeli ambassador to the United States said that the two who will be killed are preparing to tie the knot soon. The international media reported that they shot at the Israeli embassy staff while chanting "Free Palestine".

According to Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith, the suspect has been taken into custody. According to him, the detained person is involved in the attack. Long before the

incident, the suspect was loitering outside the museum . Eyewitnesses said that they suddenly moved towards a group of four people and fired indiscriminately. After this, he was arrested while trying to enter the museum armed.

In the UN, Israel said it was an anti-Semitic terrorist incident. US President Donald Trump has said that there is no place for hatred and bigotry in America.
