Seven parliamentary teams are leaving to visit 33 countries
India is going to send seven delegations to visit around three dozen countries to garner global support for the military operation 'Operation Sindoor' launched after the Pahalgam incident and the fight against cross-border terrorism. For that, a parliamentary team with all-party representation has been formed.
India has started a diplomatic initiative to inform the world community about the justification of 'Operation Sindoor', which was launched after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. According to the Narendra Modi government, this initiative was started to isolate Pakistan at the international level and to garner support for anti-terrorism operations.
26 tourists, including a Nepali, were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Indian-administered Kashmir on April 9.
After the incident, a war situation was created between India and Pakistan. India had carried out airstrikes at various locations in Pakistan to respond to the Pahalgam incident. After that, Pakistan also launched missiles and drones on Indian territory. India claimed to have struck a terrorist hideout and killed 100 terrorists. However, Pakistan claimed that innocent civilians were killed in India's action.
After two days of military action, both countries agreed to a ceasefire. India named its military operation 'Operation Sindoor'. India is going to send a parliamentary team to Western, European and African countries to explain the justification of that military action.
The neighboring Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, China, Maldives are not included in the list of countries to be visited by the parliamentary team.
