Five people were burnt to death when an AC bus caught fire in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Among the deceased are two mothers and daughters, two sisters and a young man. It is said that there are about 80 passengers in the bus. 

According to Indian media, the bus was going from Begusarai in Bihar to Delhi.

The incident happened around 5:55 on Thursday morning. Passengers said that the bus suddenly caught fire and was filled with smoke. The UP Police said that an investigation is being conducted into the cause of the fire.
