The process of detaining Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in Gujarat has been accelerated. It is said that more than 500 illegal Bangladeshis were detained in this campaign.

Vadodara Police Commissioner Narsingh Komar said, “A special drive has been launched to identify illegal Bangladeshi migrants. So far, we have arrested more than 500 people. After verifying their documents, it has been confirmed that five of them are citizens of Bangladesh.

Since then, Rajkot DCP Crime Partharaj Singh Gohil said that the DG office has been notified for the process of finding and deporting the citizens who are staying illegally in Gujarat, especially those from Bangladesh.

He said, 'We are running a checking campaign at night regarding this . In this process, we examined 800 people . In which 10 Bangladeshi citizens were found. In the coming days, they will be deported through the home department and the home ministry.' The police conducted this operation in Ahmedabad's Chandola, some areas of Sutar and Mahisagar district.

This operation was launched on Friday after Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave instructions to identify Pakistani citizens living in all states and send them back.
