This incident happened when the roof of the night club called Jet Set collapsed during Ruvi Perez's live concert on Tuesday morning. It is suspected that more may be buried in the debris. It is reported that the incident took place around 1 o'clock in the night when the whole club was full. Still, more than 400 rescuers are searching for the buried with the belief that they can be rescued alive. The death toll is expected to rise.
It is said that many high-ranking people were among the dead as politicians, sportsmen and other special people also participated in the concert.
President Luis Rodolfo Abinader expressed his condolences to the victims' families.
