According to Israel's Energy Minister Eli Cohen, the Israel Electricity Corporation has been ordered to cut off electricity supplies to Gaza.
'I have signed an order to immediately cut off the electricity supply to the Gaza Strip. "We will use all available means to ensure the release of the hostages and the elimination of Hamas from Gaza," he said.
Last week, Israel blocked the passage of vehicles carrying relief materials, oil and other supplies to Gaza. Energy Minister Cohen said that he is also thinking about stopping the water supply.
Israel wants Hamas to agree to extend the first phase of its ceasefire.
But Hamas wants the second round of ceasefire negotiations to begin.
