4 people have died in an avalanche in Chamauli, Uttarakhand. 54 people were trapped when an avalanche destroyed the camp of Border Road Organization (BRO) on Friday morning.

Chamauli district officer Sandeep Tiwari has informed that 54 people have been trapped, although earlier it was said 57.

According to District Officer Tiwari, there were 54 workers in 8 containers. Indian media reported that they were rescued on Friday and Saturday.
