At least seven people have died in a stampede during the ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh, India. Indian media reported that dozens of people were injured in the stampede.

Reuters reported that at least 7 people died in the stampede.   In the process, dozens of people were injured. 

There was a stampede at the fair around 1 o'clock on Wednesday night. Millions of devotees can be seen in a drone fujet that has been made public. They were proceeding to take a holy bath when it was light. Today is considered the most auspicious day of Mahakumbh Mela. That's why the devotees were in line for bathing since Tuesday.
