Former US President Jimmy Carter has passed away. According to the Carter Center, 100-year-old former President Carter died at his residence on Sunday.

Carter has also become the longest living ex-president in American history. He was the President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. 

US President Joe Biden has expressed grief over his death. He issued a statement and said, 'Today America and the world have lost an extraordinary leader, politician and humanitarian.'

Likewise, newly elected President Donald Trump has also paid tribute to him.
