SP Ravin Karki said that out of the more than 1,500 cameras connected, the 24-hour surveillance will be analyzed by the operational room of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office. For this reason, 30 policemen are deployed in each shift. According to the police head office, the police now have 960 pan-tilt-zoom PTZ cameras, 16 facial recognition FR cameras, 44 automatic number plate reading ANPR cameras and  Fixed cameras have been installed in 4,577 valleys. 

"CCTV cameras have been installed in sensitive areas such as major roads, intersections and bus parks in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur," said SP Karki, "Apart from this, the CCTV cameras installed by various units of the police, public organizations and the private sector have facilitated the security of the valley." The police have been deploying the police on the basis of cameras during the crowd or during street protests and celebrations.
