The 36 km road from Muglin to Narayangadh has to be crossed over 19 concrete bridges. Among them, 17 bridges have been built as if they were connected with the old and the new. And in some places the old bridges are destroyed and in some places the new bridges are raised. And most of the new bridges are broken. While traveling on a straight road, there will be bridges and the journey will slow down.

Two lanes of this road were upgraded from April 20, 2015 with the help of a concessional loan from the World Bank. Later in August 2018, the road division office was handed over to Bharatpur Chitwan. By the time of handover, only four bridges were built, 15 bridges were not yet built. Some contracts were signed while others were in the process of being signed. Until the new bridge was built, there were only intermediate bridges.

The new bridge built earlier has two lanes. Both old and new bridges are operational. The bridge that was built parallel to the old one is made one-way, vehicles come from one and leave from the other.

11,000 vehicles pass through this road section daily. Along with the upgrading of the road, the travel time has also decreased after the construction of a new bridge. But the broken bridges that come in places have made the journey difficult.

Krishna Acharya, Engineer and Information Officer of Road Division Office, Bharatpur Chitwan, said that due to geographical conditions, it is not possible to build new bridges by demolishing old bridges. Even though the road is good and comfortable after the upgrade, the level of the road has also deteriorated due to the bridge, not only that, but the number of vehicles that are moving at the same time as the bridge comes, even if it is few, they have to turn right or left. Therefore, the road department has no option to replace the old bridges and build new ones.
