About 500,000 students are currently studying in the country's oldest and largest Tribhuvan University. Students who study here are always satisfied with the traditional style of information delivery given by the university. Be it exam schedule or unscheduled leave. Be it information or other details about university programs. Such information is neither available at the specified time nor easily found.

To overcome this problem, the students here started a page on social network Facebook, 'TU Students' .

is one of its administrators, 26-year-old Sougat Pokharel . How did you get the idea to start this page? Sougat recounted a moment when he was a bachelor and said, "At that time, Panica (Examination Control Office) of TU did not have an official website". Some used to spread wrong information about the exam schedule and result through Facebook. I started this page from 2015 so that I could give official notice after seeing all this.' Now this page is being run by four students including Sougat.

Sougat has completed his graduation in Physics. Due to his interest in cyber security, he is currently pursuing his graduation in cyber security. In 2021, Facebook's bug i.e. security vulnerability was discovered  Sougat, who won a prize of 21 lakh rupees, claimed that he has discovered more than 70 bugs on Facebook so far.

Facebook's bug-finding also helped Saugat  The TU Students page has been helpful. New features are known from this page. I will test that feature," he said,  I am also finding security flaws there. This has given me a double benefit.'

On this Facebook page, Sougat and his friends share information about admissions, exams, exam centers and results for students. And some private tuition centers also advertise for a fee . Sometimes they keep 'memes' to refresh the visitors of this page.  He seems happy to be able to give official information about Tribhuvan University to the new students who are reading

. But some people consider this page as the official page of the university and ask policy and other questions, which the admin friends cannot answer.

Many people have understood that no matter what question you ask here, you will get an answer. But this page is managed by TU students,' he said, 'that doesn't mean we know everything . How many questions come . We cannot answer all of them .'

How did the journey of the TU students page, followed by nearly 480,000, begin? How useful is this page started by some students for millions of students studying in Tribhuvan University? Sougat has shared his experiences in Kantipur's video program 'Beyond the Feeds'.
