Manis Adhikari from Pokhara has been working as a content creator for four years. And in this work, he is also looking for his future. He started making content for YouTube in 2017, and nowadays he has become knowledgeable about what kind of video to make, how to make it and what topics can be searched to increase views.
In the initial days, he was also confused like others. Remembering the old days, he said, "I had just opened a YouTube channel with my name". Sometimes I used to put lyrics of songs, sometimes videos of Indian serials . He kept whatever he wanted. He didn't even know how to move. He learned by doing
and caught the rhythm. He found out his interest and also found out what kind of contents are needed in Nepal . "I was especially interested in cars from before," he said, "I used to watch videos of cars made by Indians and foreigners." But in Nepal, no one seems to have made a video about cars.'
After seeing no one making videos about automobiles products in Nepal, he changed his YouTube name to 'Hamro Motors'. And started making video content containing many interesting details from the history of the vehicle to the features of the new model of the vehicle. "I had put a video of a vehicle that the King of Nepal rides in," he said, "many people watched that video." Then I felt dizzy .'
Gradually, he started making short videos about the vehicles used by businessmen, famous people and others in Nepal, along with their characteristics. After this, he started getting offers from those brands to make videos and review them.
Graduation in information technology has also made Manis more comfortable in his work . Because he easily understands technical topics and easily reaches conclusions about how to say them in a language that common people can understand.
today where Manis has reached. To get there, he has had many stumbles and stumbles. But he has learned a lesson from all those experiences. "Initially, I was very demotivated when the video didn't play," says 25-year-old Manis, "but slowly it did." You have to be able to give content that is the same and different from others.'
Now, apart from 'Hamro Motors', he also runs an Instagram page called 'Explainer Nepali'. In this, he has been creating content for Nepali students since 2023. Successfully working with various national and international companies and brands, if you are not working with continuous commitment, you cannot be successful just by making videos for YouTube.
