For UML MP Ishwari Gharti, sitting in Rolpa, the birthplace of the Maoist center, doing UML politics was like walking on the edge of a sword. Because she was born in Nuwagaon in that village. Where the Maoists expanded their hold by forming the first parallel government in the district.
In the early days, knowingly/unknowingly hiding the eyes of Maoists, Ishwari started the politics of UML's sister organization Aneraswaviyu, later she came to understand the power and importance of politics . She faced many difficulties in the sixties as the armed war of the Maoists progressed. It was not so easy for him to save UML politics in Maoist's base area.
Ishwari, who went through difficult days to raise 250 rupees needed to become an organized member of UML, was elected as the youngest central member in UML's 10th convention held in Chitwan in 2078. "Maybe because of the influence of Maoists, I thought that I should advance my politics," she said, "I must have worked with the same political commitment to be elected as a central member at the age of 33." His politics has now reached the parliament. The next year of being a central member, she was elected as a member of the House of Representatives. She says, "Politics means sacrifice, honesty and commitment". If he had left politics when there was intense pressure from the Maoists, that would have been done.'
Ishwari, who believes that work should be the answer to those who say that nothing happened in the country, said in a video conversation with Kantipur that confusion is being created among some youth about the living history. Why is the comment that nothing happened in the country? And watch the video to understand the ups and downs of his political journey from how true this comment is.
