Accelerating the work of deporting illegal immigrants, the US has brought 8 Nepalis to Kathmandu by chartered ship. They were brought to Kathmandu on Wednesday morning by the charter plane of the American airline company Gryphon Air. A 35-year-old woman and a 22- to 47-year-old man were returned to Nepal on Wednesday.

Since Donald Trump assumed the presidency on January 20, 37 Nepalis have been returned from America. Previously, undocumented Nepalese were returned home from regular flights. But by chartering the ship itself, the Trump administration returned Nepalis to their country for the first time on Wednesday.

The plane that landed in Kathmandu this morning took off from Portsmouth Airport in the American state of New Hampshire. There were 10 Nepalis and some Albanian citizens on the ship. After disembarking the Albanian citizens at Tirana International Airport, the ship came to Kathmandu with the Nepalis.
