In the financial year 2080/81, the world's largest social network and information technology companies have paid 41.5 million in taxes in Nepal with a turnover of 3.5 billion rupees in one year. International companies like Microsoft, Google, Meta, TikTok, Adobe, Netflix, Amazon, Apple have paid so many taxes.

Among the taxpayers, one American company alone has a maximum turnover of about 1 billion 31 million rupees . According to the Big Taxpayer Office, there are 19 foreign companies registered with the Internal Revenue Department and having PAN numbers in the last financial year.

Non-resident individuals (companies) who are not physically present in Nepal but provide electronic services to Nepalese consumers must pay 13 percent VAT monthly.
