Google has introduced a feature that can automatically connect personal photos to its Gemini AI chatbot. Google announced on Thursday that it will allow users to connect personal photos from Google apps to Nano Banana through Gemini. ‘Personal intelligence connects photos from Google apps to the Gemini chatbot,’ Google said in a statement. ‘Nano Banana creates new personalized photos based on their personal Google photos.’
Google said that this technology is designed to provide personalized answers to people’s questions. Until now, Nano Banana had to be manually uploaded to create photos.
However, now users can automatically connect their photos to Gemini and give commands, such as, ‘Take a picture of me walking with my family.’ According to the company, Gemini will ask for permission to access Google Photos. Then, it will look at the personal photos and create new ones based on them.
Nano Banana became very popular when it was launched last year. People used it to create new pictures with their personal photos. After the overflow of users, it created an overload in the company's infrastructure. To reduce the pressure, Google temporarily set a usage limit for users.
The popularity of this feature led the Gemini app to number one on the Apple App Store. Gemini's ability to connect directly to the user's personal photo library has been considered a major impact of AI chatbots on personal information.
The company has said that paid subscribers will be able to use this feature in the next few days. Google launched Personal Intelligence in January. Nano Banana 2 launched in February. The company said that the speed has been increased, text rendering has been improved and commands have been made more accurate.
