Prioritizing safety and community guidelines, TikTok has recently been adding features like family pairing and ‘Time Away’ to help reduce screen time, the statement said. This year, TikTok also launched a ‘Meditation’ feature for teens to help them relax at night.
‘The Time and Well-Being feature makes it easier for users to rest, calm down, and relax,’ the statement said. ‘This feature will replace the current screen time management page with many new useful options.’ It includes an affirmation journal to set daily moods and download or share more than 120 affirmation cards. The ‘Soothing Sound Generator’ lets you listen to relaxing sounds like rain and ocean waves, and breathing exercises help reduce stress and calm the mind, the statement said.
