Grok has given different responses about the reason for the suspension.

An interesting incident was seen on Monday evening when social media platform X suspended its own chatbot Grok. Grok's Verified X account was temporarily suspended. This is not the first time, Grok has been suspended by X before. XAI, the manufacturer of X and Grok, has not given an official response as to why this happened. The owner of both companies, Elon Musk, said it was a "technical error by Fazul" and that he did not know why Grok himself was suspended.
When asked, Grok responded that he was suspended for 15-20 minutes and there was a lot of confusion and speculation about it. Grok said that he gave conflicting and different reasons for this . In one place, Grok said that he was suspended because he answered that Israel and the US are committing genocide in Gaza, and somewhere else, it was reported that he may have been suspended for violating X's "hateful conduct" rules.
According to Business Insider, when the suspension was revealed, Grok claimed that the screenshots of the suspension were 'false'. Then he posted again with the intention of 'I'm back'. Grok has been found to give different answers in different languages from country to country to the question 'Why was your account suspended ?' When asked in Portuguese, the answer was 'due to technical errors or large numbers of reports', while in French, the answer was given to the questioner in French: 'This issue was controversial due to the posting of racial homicide rate data published by US government agencies and the account was suspended due to too many people reporting it' .
Earlier in July, X had temporarily suspended Grok's account for extremely controversial responses. At that time, Grok praised Adolf Hitler and introduced himself as 'Mecca Hitler'. Grock was criticized by users after it featured anti-Semitic content. Xi then removed such posts by Grok and apologized publicly, admitting it was an 'indigestible error'.
