Robot soccer and kickboxing tournaments in China

China, which organized a kickboxing competition between humanoid robots last month, recently launched the robots on the football field.

The video of that football tournament is now viral on social media. In the AI robot football competition held in Beijing, it is seen in the video that the robot had to work hard to stand up straight and kick the ball.

In that competition, some of the robots had to leave the field after falling and getting injured. Some are joking on social media that it reminds them of 'Neymar-style'. The two robots fell on the ground and could not get up and were taken out on a stretcher. While modern sports competitions are more tactically oriented, despite complaints that they seem robotic, the robot's performance says that the that suggests that Lyon Mbappe's job is safe has journalist Dan Milmo's witty comment in The Guardian .

Among those robots operated by remote control, the robot named 'AI Strategist' won the title. All participating Unitry G1 model robots were trained in 'fight techniques' such as straight punches, hooks, kicks and knee strikes. They could be controlled by voice command, motion-sensing or remote control.
