39-year-old Nim Khanal, 36-year-old Ratnakala Bhandari and 7-year-old girl Kavita Bhandari of Panchdeval Vinayak Municipality-8 Barla were sitting in the barn on Thursday night. Nim and Kavita died   in the middle of the night when it was raining from the top where the tripal was hanging. The injured Ratnakala is being treated at Surkhet Provincial Hospital.

Ward president Chhatra Bahadur Shahi demolished the camp in his own house on Saturday after the incident in Churkholi village of Selapani in Barla. Shahi, who started the campaign by demolishing the camp in his own house, said that he will demolish the camp in all 9 villages of Ward 8. Accordingly, the ward president and other people's representatives, local leaders, police have demolished 19 encampments in Barla on Saturday.

'There was a neighborhood in my house too . After the incident happened in Barla, I destroyed the shelter in my own house . Ward president Shahi said that after demolishing the sheds, many women and teenagers were hanging tripals, some were living in dens and some were living inside toilets.

'Some things are too embarrassing to say . First, after demolishing the camp, it was found that the pin of the toilet that was being used was locked and a pillow was placed on top of it,'' he said. The problem is not going to go away just by the will of the people's representatives. It needs everyone's support.'

Ramana Shahi, a ward member of Panchdeval Vinayak Municipality-8 Barlaki, said that she could not stay at home because of the fear of social ostracism if she stayed at home during menstruation.

'Now I have become a member of the ward, before that I was an ordinary woman who worked at fairs . I could not raise my voice alone because the big leaders and leaders of this village kept me in the camp," said Shahi, a member of the ward. "After becoming a representative, I tried to leave the camp many times. But she couldn't dare to stay at home when all the people and leaders of the society said that if they don't respect the society and the family, they will be boycotted.

She said that she started not going to the barn after two people were killed by stones while sitting on a fence hanging a tripal to prevent menstruation in her ward.

'Now I have decided to stay at home and keep my daughter at home as well . Now I don't care what the society says,' she said. I am a woman living in this village forever. Now I started from my home . I will now lead the campaign to remove this bad practice.'

According to District Police Acham, 19 encampments including 4 in Kumalikot, 3 in Sarpa, 2 in Amrukh, 5 in Tikhapatal, 2 in Garigaon, 2 in Dhungebazar and 1 in Navali have been demolished under the encampment demolition campaign that started in Barla.

The chief district officer of Achham, Anand Saru, said that the campaign has been started by activating the local people's representatives to demolish the enclaves, monitor and monitor them.
