Kantipur Max has become the official broadcasting partner for the second edition of Nepal’s first franchise-based indoor cricket tournament, the Indoor Super League (ISL). The tournament will be held from August 7 to 13.

According to an agreement signed on Monday between the organizer Kathmandu Sports Events Pvt. Ltd. and Kantipur Media Group, all matches of the tournament will be broadcast live on Kantipur Max. The organizer stated that both parties have agreed to make the second edition even grander, more organized, and of international standard compared to the first.

The agreement was signed by Jyoti Bhandari, Managing Director of Kathmandu Sports Events Pvt. Ltd., and Sagar KC, Business Head of Kantipur Media Group. ISL Technical Director Rabindra Gupta and Kantipur Media Group Marketing Manager Anupam Adhikari were also present at the event.

After the agreement, Managing Director Bhandari said that the goal is to give the Indoor Super League international recognition, not just limit it within Nepal. “Our goal is to give the Indoor Super League international recognition, not just limit it within Nepal. This edition will be even better than the previous one in terms of sports, entertainment, and management,” he said.

This edition will feature 10 franchise teams. To make the tournament more attractive, the organizers have announced that American international host, singer, and songwriter Shaice Floyd will come to Nepal. Floyd, who became popular among Nepali supporters during the ICC T20 World Cup held in Dallas, USA in 2024, will host the second edition of the ISL.

The organizers have already completed the player auction at Anmol Banquet, Shankhamul, Kathmandu, and appointed national women’s volleyball spiker Usha Bhandari as the brand ambassador. Although the tournament was initially scheduled to start on August 31, the organizers stated that it has been postponed by a week due to technical reasons.
