In the sixth Triyog Inter-School Chess Tournament, the host Triyog High School, Annapurna, Pushpasadan, Marvelous, and Matribhumi School secured first place in their respective groups.

Annapurna and the host Triyog jointly took first place in the Grade 1 to 3 group. Pushpasadan secured first place in the Grade 4 and 5 group. In the Grade 6 and 7 group, Marvelous School took first place, while Matribhumi School secured first place in the Grade 9 and 10 group. 

In the Grade 1 to 3 girls’ group, Annapurna’s Rihana Shrestha emerged as the winner. Euro’s Adisi Bhattarai came second, and British School’s Bhargavi Bararia placed third.

In the boys’ category, Kathmandu Gurukul’s Sunabh Ojha took first place. Niten Memorial’s Abhishek BK came second, and Triyog’s Devyan Pandey placed third. In the Grade 4 and 5 girls’ group, Imperial’s Agrata Acharya took first place, St. Mary’s Shrisha Ball came second, and Pushpasadan’s Parishree Shrestha placed third. In the boys’ category, Rajan Sah of Tilingtar School took first place, Subhang Pradhan of Rato Bangala came second, and DAV’s Riyanshu Paudel placed third.

In the Grade 6 and 7 girls’ group, Marvelous’s Sonalika Sarraf and Suhani Singh, and Future Star’s Glossy Shrestha placed third. In the boys’ category, Sainik Awasiya’s Hriday Basnet took first place, Greenland’s Sulabh Panthi came second, and Sanskriti School’s Sambhav Thulung placed third.

In the Grade 8 to 10 girls’ group, Annapurna’s Ojaswi Shrestha took first place, Abhivyakti Tamang came second, and Manakamana’s Jigyasa Khanal placed third. In the boys’ category, Pathshala’s Oscar Panthi took first place, Nisarga Batika’s Satwikman Tuladhar came second, and Matribhumi’s Sawid Prajapati placed third.

The winners were awarded by Nepal Olympic Committee Vice President Gopalsundar Lal Kakshapati, former national champions Naveen Tandukar and Badrilal Nepali, the school’s Executive Director Ajit Lama, Principal Chandrayan Pradhan Shrestha, and others.
