Extreme Energy Drinks, a subsidiary of Agro Thai Foods Pvt. Ltd., has signed title sponsorship agreements with six franchise teams for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket.
The NPL has eight franchise teams. This is possibly the largest private sector partnership in the professional history of Nepali sports, the company said in a statement.
Extreme Energy Drinks has signed agreements with Kathmandu Gorkhas, Chitwan Rhinos, Janakpur Bolts, Karnali Yaks, Pokhara Avengers and Lumbini Lions as title sponsors.
Representatives of all six teams and Agro Thai Foods Pvt. Ltd. Business Head Sonia Rana signed the agreements at a special event organized for the third edition of NPL cricket on Monday.
Extreme Energy Drinks will remain the main sponsor of the respective teams for three years, the statement said.
‘The logo of Extreme Energy Drinks will be prominently displayed on the front of the playing jerseys of the teams,’ the statement said.
The company said that it is confident that this collaboration will establish the brand more strongly among the audience through the biggest franchise competition of Nepali cricket, NPL, and will also make a significant contribution to the professional development of Nepali cricket.
Chatur Bahadur Chand, President of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), said that the collaboration between Extreme Energy Drink and NPL franchises is an important step towards the sustainable development of Nepali cricket, a bright future for the players, and strengthening the overall cricket structure.
Krishna Dahal, National Sales Manager of Agro Thai Foods Pvt. Ltd., said that it is a matter of pride for them to collaborate as the top sponsor with six teams in the biggest and most prestigious competition of Nepali cricket, NPL.
He said that this partnership is not only for brand promotion but also for the long-term development of Nepali cricket.
