Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket franchise Kathmandu Gorkhas has signed a sponsorship agreement with Extreme Energy Drinks. The agreement was signed before the start of the third edition of the NPL. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has been indicating that the NPL will be held after Dashain. 

As per the agreement, Extreme will remain the main sponsor of Kathmandu Gorkhas. As per the agreement, the playing jersey of Kathmandu Gorkhas will have the Extreme logo on the front. Kathmandu is confident that its new collaboration with Extreme will take it to the next level.

Kathmandu Gorkhas Executive Director Anubhav Swar Sirohiya and Extreme's Chief of Administration Sonia Rana signed the agreement at a program organized on Sunday. The agreement is for 3 years, said Kathmandu Gorkhas' Operations Head Shravan Bahadur Singh. Both parties have not disclosed the financial aspects.

Kathmandu is collaborating with Extreme for the second consecutive year. Extreme was a co-sponsor in the second season of the NPL and Kathmandu played with the Extreme logo on the back of their jerseys. 

As a Nepali brand, Extreme Energy Drinks has been making a big contribution to Nepali sports, said Operations Head Singh. ‘Extreme Energy Drinks is making a difference in Nepali sports, it is difficult for us to see an event without Extreme somewhere, we are going to collaborate with a company that has made such an impact for the second consecutive year, it has made us very excited and is also motivating us for good results. Such an agreement also helps a lot in improving the management of any team,’ said Singh.

Extreme’s Head of Administration Rana said that it is a matter of pride for the company to be associated with Kathmandu. Extreme Drinks is also the main sponsor of the Nepali women’s national cricket team. Extreme was the main sponsor of the Prime Minister's Cup national tournament, the Jay Trophy two-day national cricket tournament. 

Kathmandu Gorkhaz's 'Cricket Director' Sharad Veshavkar said that the collaboration with Extreme will provide great energy to the team. Kathmandu finished fourth in the NPL last season. 

Kathmandu Gorkhaz, with Karan KC as the marquee and captain, has 'retained' Bhim Sarki, Shahab Alam, Rashid Khan, Mohammad Adil Ansari and Santosh Yadav for the third season of the NPL.
