Gajendra Bardewa and Sharad Kumar Rai will compete in skating at the Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The Nepal Skating and Skateboarding Association announced on Thursday that Gajendra and Sharad have been selected for the competition to be held in September.
According to the association, they were selected for the competition based on their outstanding performance in various national and international competitions.
At a program organized at Hotel Tapas in Battisputali, Kathmandu on Thursday, the selection of the players was announced in the presence of association president Achyut Khanal, vice president Jagruti Pahadi, general secretary Satya Thapa, Bagmati Province chief Bikash Lama, and head skating coach Dilip Raj Baral.
At the program, head coach Baral emphasized that special priority should be given to sports strategy, discipline, and confidence to achieve success in the competition to be held in Japan.
