Bihani Events is organizing the 'Futsal Mania, National Inter-High School Futsal Competition' from 32 Shrawan to 2 Bhadra, targeting students studying in Plus Two.

The organizers have stated that teams from 48 higher secondary schools across the country will participate in the competition to be held at the Tiptop Sports Hub in Tarakeswar Municipality. Players up to 20 years of age will compete in the competition.

Students who have recently passed grade 12 will also be allowed to participate. Up to two teams from a school will be allowed to participate. According to Bihani Events' Events Director Asmita Ghimire, the competition is being organized with the aim of connecting students with sports, developing sportsmanship, team spirit and leadership skills amidst the World Cup atmosphere.

‘Our aim is that the Plus Two students can also feel the excitement of the World Cup and showcase their talents in a competitive environment,’ said Ghimire. ‘We expect them to develop sportsmanship, teamwork and leadership skills through the game.’

The 48 participating teams will be divided into 16 groups. After the round-robin league, the winning team of each group will make it to the pre-quarterfinals. The game will be seven minutes long.

The total prize money is Rs 375,000. The winning team will receive Rs 200,000, the runner-up Rs 100,000 and the third-placed team Rs 50,000. The winner will also win the Running Shield. Bihani Events has also announced plans to continue this as an annual competition.
