In the third quarterfinal match of the ongoing Koshi Province Women's Football Tournament in Itahari, Ilam's Atma Pavitra FC Masebung has defeated Dhankuta District Football Association by a margin of 5-0. With a one-sided victory, the Ilam team has secured a place in the semifinals of the tournament.

Ilam had been playing aggressively since the start of the match held at Itahari Stadium on Tuesday. Barsha Oli scored a goal in the fourth minute of the match to give the team the lead. Then in the 15th minute, Kalpana Zimba added another goal to double Ilam's lead.

Dhankuta, who were under constant pressure, tried to return to the game, but could not stop Ilam's strong midfield and attack. In the first semi-final match of the competition on Wednesday, Dharan's Fair Football Club and Tehrathum's Creative Women's Football Club will compete. Dharan has secured its journey to the last four by defeating Kakadbhitta Women's Football Club, Jhapa. Tehrathum has secured its semi-final clash with Dharan by defeating Belbari Football Club, Morang.

In the second and final semi-final on Thursday, the host Itahari and Ilam will play. The final match will be held on Saturday. The winner of the final will receive a cash prize of Rs 200,000 and the runner-up will receive a prize of Rs 100,000. The competition was organized in coordination with the Koshi Province Sports Development Board.
