Yansub Taekwondo Dojang has won the first Kageshwari Manohara Municipal Taekwondo Competition. Yansub became the team champion with 15 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze medals.
Chandrasurya Taekwondo Dojang came second with 14 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals in the competition organized by Kageshwari Manohara Municipality with the support of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality.
Thali Taekwondo Dojang came third with 7 gold, 4 silver and 14 bronze medals. The top 3 teams received prizes of 15 thousand, 10 thousand and 5 thousand respectively.
Vision Tamang of Mulpani Taekwondo Dojang was declared the best player in Gyorogi men's and Pema Gurung of Thali in women's. Prince Kumar Ram was selected as the best player in Pumse men's and Renzing Chaulagain was selected as the best player in women's. Both are from Chandrasurya.
The winners were awarded by Mayor Upendra Karki of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, Deputy Mayor Shanta Thapa, former executive committee member of the National Sports Council Nanda Basyal, President of Kathmandu District Taekwondo Association Bikram Khadgi, President of Nepalese Taekwondo Academy International Judge Ashok Khadka, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Rajkumar Shrestha and others.
On the same occasion, the gold winner of the 6th Bagmati Province-level Junior Mayor Cup Invitational Taekwondo Competition Girish Shrestha, silver winners Ishaq Tamang, Ayush Saud and Seema Jarghamgar and bronze winner Neriya Shrestha were honored. All the medal winners are from Kageshwori Manohara Municipality.
Secretary of the Organizing Committee Biswas Aryal said that 255 players competed in 45 different events in the one-day competition.
