The Koshi Province level open men's volleyball tournament is to be organized in Inaruwa, the headquarters of Sunsari.

The tournament will be held from Ashad 18 to 21 under the coordination of the Koshi Province Sports Development Board, with the technical support of the Koshi Province Volleyball Association and the organization of Shantideep Nepal.

The tournament will be held at the Cubard Hall in Madhesha, Inaruwa, at night, according to the organizers. It is said that two departmental teams, APF, Nepal Police and Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Bhojpur, Khotang and 8 teams, including the organizer, Sunsari Volleyball Training Center, will participate in the tournament.

Players from within Koshi Province will compete in the tournament, while each team can include a maximum of three players who have played at the other provinces or national and international levels.

The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 150,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up will receive Rs 100,000, according to the organizers. Similarly, the best player will be awarded Rs 10,000 and the best player in each category will be awarded Rs 5,000 each. In addition, the 'Man of the Match' will be awarded Rs 2,000.

The tournament, which is being organized at the provincial level, is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of volleyball, enhancing the capabilities of players and producing new talent, said tournament coordinator Rajkumar Chaudhary. The organizer has stated that a total of Rs 1.4 million will be spent to complete the tournament.
