The Koshi Province women's team has won the title of the Necos Cup National Women's T-20 Cricket Tournament.

Koshi Province became the champion by defeating the departmental team Nepal APF Club by 11 runs in the final held at the Narayani Cricket Ground in Birgunj on Sunday.

Koshi Province defeated the departmental team APF by displaying balanced batting and strong bowling to claim the title of the tournament.

Batting first after winning the toss, Koshi Province scored 98 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Kajol Shrestha scored the highest score of 38 runs for the team, while Prinsa Ranam Magar contributed 16 and Rubina Chhetri contributed 12 runs.

Sabnam Rai, Suman Bista and Sita Rana Magar took one wicket each for APF. Chasing a target of 99 runs, APF was bundled out for 87 runs in 19.5 overs, losing all its wickets.

For APF, Kavita Joshi scored the highest 14 runs, while Revati Dhami scored 12 and Mamta Chaudhary scored 9 runs. The other batters could not perform significantly. Rubina Chaudhary, Riya Sharma and Niru Rajbanshi shared 2 wickets each among the bowlers of Koshi.

Rubina Chand bowled brilliantly in Koshi's victory, taking 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs. APF failed to reach the target after Riya Sharma took 2 wickets and Niru Rajbanshi took 2 wickets.

Koshi's Kajol Shrestha was declared the 'Player of the Match'. Former Chief Minister of Madhesh Pradesh Saroj Yadav distributed shields to the winning and runner-up players. The winning team received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
