The host Kaushal Boarding School won the title of the first Kaushal Inter-School Kathmandu District-wide Taekwondo Competition on Saturday.

Ayu Raya of Prabhat World and Sakura Gurung of Kaushal were declared the best players in the men's category and in the women's category, respectively. Gyanchakshu became the champion with 13 gold, 18 silver and 5 bronze. Morgan School came in second with 13 gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze and Swarnadeep came in third with 11 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze.
Nagarjuna Valley's Bigesh Rai and Morgan's Aarushi Amgai were selected as the best players in the men's category and in the women's category, respectively.
The winners were awarded by Tarkeshwor Municipality Mayor Krishnahari Maharjan, organizing school management committee chairman Krishna Prasad Adhikari and others. Around 400 players from 21 different schools have participated in the one-day competition, said competition coordinator Rajkumar Thakuri.
