Itahari Super Kings have made a winning start in the KPL Cup International Invitational Cricket Tournament. Itahari has made a strong start in the tournament by defeating India's RML Sports Academy by 7 wickets in the match played on Saturday.
Batting first at the Dr. Khalil Azad Cricket Ground in Bhokraha, Sunsari, RML Sports Academy scored 113 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Manjul Dudey scored 28 runs while Aban Jafri added 24 runs. Anubhav Singh scored 18 and Sandeep Gupta scored 15 runs, taking RML to a modest total of 113 runs.
In reply, Itahari Super Kings scored 116 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 9.2 overs and won easily. Arjun Gharti Magar scored an explosive unbeaten 52 runs in Itahari's victory.
