Koshi Pradesh defeated Bagmati Pradesh by 8 runs in the second semi-final held in Birgunj on Friday to secure a place in the final. The match was shortened to 10-10 overs after the start of the match was delayed due to rain on a wet playing field.
Koshi scored 72 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. In Koshi's victory, captain Rubina Chhetri contributed 31 runs not out in 22 balls and Kajol Shrestha contributed 29 runs not out in 27 balls. Bagmati's Kanchan Shrestha took 1 wicket.
In reply, Bagmati was restricted to 64 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. For them, Asmina Karmacharya contributed 17 runs not out in 20 balls and Laxmi Maya Rumba Lama contributed 14 runs in 9 balls, but that was not enough for the victory.
Rubina Chhetri took 2 wickets and Alisha Khadiya took 1 wicket off Koshi's balls. Rubina Chhetri, who performed excellently all-round, was declared the 'Player of the Match'.
