Pokhara Metropolitan City has won its second consecutive PL Singh Memorial T20 Cup cricket match. Pokhara defeated Kathmandu Metropolitan City by 6 runs at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Monday. 

Pokhara, who came out to bat after losing the toss in the match shortened to 10 overs due to wet ground, scored 107 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Opening batsman Arjun Kumal played an unbeaten half-century innings of 50 runs in 24 balls. He was named Player of the Match, hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes. Sandeep Khatri Chhetri scored 35 runs in 15 balls, hitting 3 fours and a six. Kathmandu's Bishal Phuyal took 1 wicket.

In reply, Kathmandu could only score 101 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Krish Karki scored 25 and Uttam Thapa Magar scored 18 runs unbeaten. Pokhara's unbeaten Poudel, Krishna Poudel and Bipin Khatri took 2 wickets each.

Pokhara is at the top of the points table after winning the first two matches. Kathmandu suffered its first defeat in the third match. Bharatpur, Lalitpur and Biratnagar Metropolitan City have 2 points each. Birgunj has lost both matches. 

Biratnagar defeated Lalitpur by 8 wickets in the second match on Monday. Lalitpur, who were invited to bat after losing the toss, scored 151 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Roshan BK scored an unbeaten 42 runs in 25 balls and Adil Khan scored 23 runs. Krish Sharma and Pratik Pokharel of Biratnagar took 2 wickets each.

Sujan Thapaliya scored 81 runs in just 37 balls, helping Biratnagar achieve the target in 16.5 overs. Player of the Match Sujan hit 2 fours and 9 sixes. Robin Mandal contributed 44 runs in 39 balls. Tilak Raj Bhandari and Bibek Rana Magar of Lalitpur took 1 wicket each.
