Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Lalitpur Metropolitan City have won the first PL Singh Memorial T-20 Cup cricket tournament on Sunday. Kathmandu defeated Birgunj Metropolitan City by 6 wickets and Lalitpur defeated Bharatpur Metropolitan City by 4 wickets.

Birgunj, who won the toss at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, scored 111 runs in 15 overs after losing a reduced 8 wickets. Araniko Yadav scored the highest 29 off 26 balls, Rupesh Singh scored an unbeaten 26 off 20 balls and Anil Sah scored 22 runs. Kathmandu's Nitesh Kumar performed brilliantly and took 3 wickets for 12 runs in 3 overs.

Kathmandu achieved the target in 12 overs. Rinjin Lama scored 44 runs off 24 balls. Player of the Match Sonu Devkota scored 34 off 18 balls and Ishan Pandey scored 21 runs. 

In the next match, Bharatpur, who won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 176 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Suryanshu Koirala played a half-century innings of 52 runs in 32 balls, while Shubha Kansakar scored 21 and Gautam KC scored 18 runs. Ganesh Gautam of Lalitpur took 3 wickets and Bidhan Khatiwada took 2 wickets.

Lalitpur registered victory with 5 balls remaining. Bipin Acharya played an excellent innings of 82 runs not out in 53 balls. Sakriya Pratap Karki scored 3 not out in 17 balls and Sachin Lekhak scored 33 runs. Bharatpur's Shubha Kansakar took 3 wickets.
