Amateur golfer Sadbhav Acharya's team has won the Pro-Am title in the Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship.
The team comprising Sadbhav won the title at the Gokarna Golf Club by scoring 166 points. Sadbhav scored 45, Sayan Basnyat 42, Satyajot Rana 40 and Kiran Poudel 39 points. The winning players were awarded Odyssey putters.
Professional golfer Shukra Bahadur Rai's team came second with 155 in the Premier Golf, the last competition of the season on the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2025-26. Shukra scored 41 points, while amateur Jigme Dongstein scored 39, Pradeep KC 38 and Ujjwal Pradhanang scored 37 points. They received the Callaway Wedge Award.
Professional golfer Jayaram Shrestha's team secured third place with 150 points. Jayaram scored 40 points, while amateurs Fursang Lama and Tenzing Lama scored 37 points each, and Tendy Sherpa scored 36 points.
In the women's category, Bipana Shrestha won the title in the countback. She beat Angela Yonjan. Tenzing Tshiring won the title for the longest drive and Babu Sherpa won the title for the closest to the pin.
The winning players were awarded by Surya Nepal Managing Director Gaurav Tayal, Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. Corporate Vice President Ravi KC, NPGA President Rabindraman Shrestha, and Gokarna Golf Club Captain Joseph Nathan.
Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. has provided sports equipment to amateur golfer Rahul Bishwakarma, a member of the national team.
The previous day, Subash Tamang won the Surya Nepal Premier Golf title in a playoff. He became the champion by defeating Bhuvan Nagarkoti and amateur Sadbhav Acharya in the playoff.
He won a cash prize of Rs 320,000. Bhuvan came second and Sadbhav Acharya came third.
