Training Ground, Budhanilkantha Municipality, Annapurna and ISA Nepal have won the 10th National Women's Open Basketball Championship.

In the first match of the tournament that began on Monday at the Kirtipur Covered Hall, Training Ground defeated Lumbini Pradesh by a score of 84-23.

Training Ground led in all four quarters. Roshni Shrestha of the team performed as the Player of the Match with scores of 24-8, 26-6, 22-1, 12-8.

In the Group 'B' match, Budhanilkantha defeated the competitive Grande Stars by 50-38. Grande led 16-12 in the first quarter and 9-5 in the second quarter to take a 25-17 lead at halftime. But Budhanilkantha led 10-1, 23-12 in the last two quarters. Anusha Malla, who is also the captain of the national team, was named Player of the Match.

In Group ‘A’, in a clash between two teams from outside the valley, Annapurna Basketball Association defeated Sunsari Basketball Association by a score of 44-35. Annapurna performed 10-5, 13-5, 5-10, 16-15 in the quarter. Annapurna’s Niwiti Sharma was declared Player of the Match.

In another competitive match, ISA Nepal defeated Let’s Go Basketball Academy by a score of 48-41. Let’s Go won the first quarter by 18-12. ISA led 11-6 in the second quarter. Both teams scored 10-10 in the third quarter. Let's Go led 34-33 until the third quarter, but ISA won the game 15-7 in the fourth and final quarter. ISA's Mili Lama Tamang was declared the Player of the Match. The tournament is being organized by the Nepal Basketball Association (NEBA).
