Pokhara Avengers have announced the ‘retained and released’ players for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. The team announced on Sunday that it has ‘retained’ marquee player Kushal Bhurtel.
Along with Bhurtel, Arjun Kumal, Dinesh Kharel, Bipin Khatri, Akash Chand, Sagar Dhakal and Kiran Thagunna have been released. The team also announced that it has released Krishna Poudel, Tritaraj Das, Abhishek Tiwari, Sandeep Khatri Chhetri and Rohit Chand.
Kushal Bhurtel is the only team that has not reached the playoffs even once in both seasons of the NPL. Last season, players such as New Zealand’s Jimmy Neesham, England’s Jason Roy, Adam Rossington, Dan Dawthwaite, Sri Lanka’s Dhananjaya Lakshman, and India’s Rishi Dhawan played for Pokhara.
